Check out PenguinCon at the Livonia/ Laurel Park Holiday Inn this weekend (6 Mile and I-275). It's a combination Open Source User Meeting and science fiction convention, including gaming and some anime and something you may not have heard of called filk (folk music for fictional universes). Along with a hospitality suite and parties. There are bound to be some unattached girl geeks there.

I qualify for your criteria, but am already attached (Wow am I attatched - 21 years and 3 kids worth). There's even an orientation session or newbies (called neos in this sub-group) on Friday evening. I will be there and would love to say hi in person if you decide to come.
