Lets say your a geek guy (like me) and you find girl geeks facinating and attractive (like me), where are some good places to meet these girl geeks?

Mon, November 21, 2005 - 4:46 PMHmmm.... geek girls are not that rare a breed. There are plenty of us who like geek stuff.
I think you might find geek girls anywhere you find geek guys: conventions (scifi, robot, ..... ), comic book stores, online chats, even a computer store...
The problem is visibility. You must stop looking at all the cool gadets for a minute and look around!

I've just started going around saying 'nanoo, nanoo' or flashing the vulcan hand symbol in the hopes I can flush one out.

At the Serenity premeire we chicks outnumbered the guys. And y'know, I've met a few pretty cool people aside from the date thing.

Fri, November 25, 2005 - 11:32 AMConventions are a great way to meet geek girls. Take the lectures and talk to em there, etc. I also always get hit on at the comic book store; I think too many guys have seen Free Enterprise. :)
I'm mostly in front of my PCs, so if that's any measure, I guess Tribe is your best bet otherwise. -

Mon, November 28, 2005 - 12:57 PMAll of my WoW characters are girls, and I am, indeed, a girl. I know that there are at least 3 other girls in my guild thanks to teamspeak. Granted, there are probably 80 people in the guild, and three out of 80 is kind of a low number.. but there Are girls. Guaranteed to not get ticked at you for playing video games or watching star wars because they're right there with you.
I feel like i need to add "get yours today (!) Only while supplies last!" -

On second thought, that statement may reflect more on my choice of associates than it does about anything else.

Many girls are geeks but you just can't tell. We look like everyone else. In fact my telecom engineer friend would mess with guys at the bar just because she could, playing the, "bet you can't guess what I do for a living" game. She hangs out at the Sharks games and is always on the go. Some of us are just hard to find.
I say book store, electronics store and keep your ears open for smart things coming out of the mouths.
