Fri, July 21, 2006 - 3:15 AMMany of the computer conventions used to be pretty big, like usenix and the like. But that's been some time ago. Most of them are pretty commercial, suit & tie now. Later the networking conventions were pretty big.
World con would probably be my vote. Big science fiction convention. Draws from all over the world. Rotates locations.
