OK... you know those embarasing moments directly related to your geekness. I am at goth club.... and this girl who has been speaking to my friend gets up... she has a crown royal bag.... so naturally in a loud voice (over the music) i exclaim "cool... dice bag... you must game!" ... the look on her face tells me... 'umm no...i just thought it would be cool to use a crown royal bag as a purse...' ...feeling awful... i then went on to make it worse by trying to rally support from those around me that the ONLY use for a crown royal bag is to hold DICE!!!
....crud....

Re: Faux pas (bad speller)
Fri, September 30, 2005 - 10:00 PMdont sweat it, people make mistakes ;)
But still, that was pretty awkward O.o
You're not alone though, i feel awkward like that the morjority of the time at school, cause there are like no geeks (so it seems) besides like a few, and me :P So pretty much anythything coming out my mouth gets giggle responses, weird looks, or"ok..."
LoL, i go around asking people, "have u huged your cow today?" or "ENGAGE!"
Yu gotta love Star Trek ^^

Mon, October 3, 2005 - 7:59 AMYeah, don't sweat it. The best therapy is to submerge yourself in a massive geeky event. For me it was the midnight showing of Serenity. There were hundreds of brown coats, blue gloves, and wedding cake dresses. A friend of mine wore her Trogdor shirt and there were plenty of people gleefully shouting "Trogdor!" and "Burninator!" You can't feel bad about having a Crown Royal dice bag in that situ.
Me I've got a hand carved, brass inlay, wooden box for my dice. I'm very attached to them. Geeky me.
I believe SiliCon is coming up. -

Re: Faux pas (bad speller)
Mon, October 10, 2005 - 8:02 PMYeah Serenity was awesome
This is how I was exposed to a friend of mine: Was driving out to the desert and all the sudden I could see the pavement end ahead of me, but I was driving kinda fast. So I scream out, "Brace for impact!" Which, was weird 'cause it came without thinking. -
